"Stunned by my own reflection, it's looking back, sees me too clearly..."
Pearl Jam, Pilate
Well, how much can I say about myself? The picture over there at least covers me physically...
I'm 22. I'm a music person. I listen to it all the time, and when I can get to concerts, I do. A few of my favorite bands are Tool, Dave Matthews Band, Nine Inch Nails, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, A Perfect Circle, and the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band. My non music-related hobbies include RPG's, writing, making movies on the computer, and having stupid conversations about hypothetical situations. Most of those interests are showcased somewhere on this page. Just look around, you'll find them eventually.
I play piano, bass, violin, and guitar, pretty much in that order...proficiency and frequency. I can't play anything on the guitar except chords, but that still lets me know enough to kinda look like I know what I'm doing when I pick one up. On piano I try to stay focused on one or two songs at once, or I'd never learn anything with any degree of skill. I beat Beethoven; I can play Moonlight Sonata close to perfectly every time now. My current project is Mozart's Fantasy in D minor. I can play about half of it pretty well. More will come soon. On bass, I mostly (try to) play Dave Matthews stuff. The hard stuff is more rewarding when it's done. As for the violin, I can play scales and simple songs pretty proficiently now. I really love the sound of it, tremendous pathos. The last song I learned was the part from the first interlude in Spoon. I can also play The Frail on it!
The only passion I have that even comes close to music is writing. I mostly write prose, but I also do poetry and just about anything else. I'd like to be able to write for a living. I have a couple of books I'm writing, both of which are about halfway done. Lots of others started, naturally. Someday I'll finish something.
If you want to know even more about me, there's a link up there to my personal profile. Read all that and you'll know more about me than I do...
